Orean Turner, NP

Orean Turner brings expertise and a genuine care for her patients to Dr. Coles’ internal medicine practice as a nurse practitioner. Orean is now accepting patients at Tanner Clinic’s Layton campus.

Orean joined Tanner Clinic after working as a critical care float nurse for Davis Hopsital’s emergency room and intensive care unit. Before her time at Davis Hospital, Orean grew her experience as a professional staff nurse and later became a registered nurse. Now, Orean is excited to serve her patients at Tanner Clinic.

“There is something about the clinic’s family atmosphere that I really, really like,” said Orean. The New York native also attributes her excitement about working at the clinic to her cohesiveness with Dr. Coles and the clinic’s other employees. “You don’t really get that with other physicians,” states Orean.

Outside of her time at the clinic, Orean enjoys spending time with family and traveling. A favorite travel experience Orean holds close to her heart is when she went to Tanzania, Africa, for a humanitarian mission. Orean helped organize a team relief effort to provide free medical care via a mobile clinic to those in need. “It was the best thing I’ve ever done,” said Orean. “Behind having children.”

Orean earned her Master of Science in nursing from Maryville University after completing her Bachelor of Science in nursing (University of Alabama of Birmingham) and her Associate of Science in nursing (Virginia College of Birmingham).

Something important Orean wants everyone to know about her caregiving is, “As nurse practitioners, we care about the whole individual. Even though patients might come to us for a specialty, I still care about every bit of them.”
