Valerie Zaugg, NP
Valerie Zaugg, NP, began her career in the medical field before she even graduated Roy High School by completing a Certified Nursing program from Davis Applied Technology College. She instantly fell in love with the nursing profession. Valerie soon graduated as a Registered Nurse from Weber State University, but ultimately decided she wanted more involvement and autonomy to make decisions regarding her patients’ healthcare needs, so she enrolled in the Nurse Practitioner program at Maryville University.
“I love healthcare! I couldn’t see myself doing anything else,” she professes. Valerie is passionate about her role as a primary care provider and looks forward to working with patients and helping them achieve their desired health care goals.
Valerie has dedicated all 14 years of her healthcare experience working with adult and geriatric patients. When asked why she chose that particular focus, she said “I highly respect my elderly patients, and feel that they deserve the best health care available.” Valerie said she also chose to use the Golden Rule as her standard for care with the notion that you can’t go wrong when you choose to treat others as you would like to be treated.
Married with two children, she and her family enjoy spending time outdoors biking, hiking, and even kayaking. They also enjoy traveling together and recently went on a humanitarian trip in Ghana.
