Austin Hummel, PA-C

Austin Hummel, PA-C, serves as an orthopedic Physician Assistant at our East Layton Clinic, located on the first floor of the west wing. Working under Dr. Kenna Larsen, Austin specializes in assisting patients with hand-related issues. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage and pursued his Physician Assistant education at Lincoln Memorial University.

Austin attributes his success in medicine to his deep-seated value of empathy, which he actively incorporates into his patient care. He prioritizes building strong relationships with those under his care. Austin’s passion for orthopedics stems from his personal experiences with hand injuries incurred during rock climbing. These experiences have instilled in him a profound appreciation for the intricate workings and everyday importance of our hands. He is dedicated to facilitating recovery and enabling patients to resume their beloved activities.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Austin finds joy in outdoor pursuits such as trail running, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing. Anchorage, Alaska, where he spent his formative years, provided ample opportunities to nurture his love for nature. His happiest moments are often spent ridge running amidst the autumnal beauty. And when he indulges, Austin’s guilty pleasure is savoring chocolate.
