Dr. Caleena Longworth is a Family Medicine Physician practicing at our
Layton Antelope Building A, on our
main level,
east wing. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients. Growing up in Reno, Nevada, Dr. Longworth pursued her medical education at the University of Nevada, Reno, and the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. She completed her residency at the Utah Healthcare Institute/St. Mark’s Family Medicine Residency. With a strong focus on Lifestyle Medicine, she enjoys the diversity of Family Medicine, especially in areas such as women’s health, mental health, and chronic migraine care.
Lifestyle Medicine uses evidence-based, whole-person and prescriptive lifestyle change to treat and often reverse chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. Dr. Longworth bases her approach on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: a whole-food, plant-predominant diet, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, effective stress management, avoidance of risky substances and fostering positive social connections; assisting patients to adopt healthier habits and improve their overall well-being.
An Air Force veteran, Dr. Longworth served as a Spanish Linguist on active duty before becoming a doctor and continues to serve part-time as a Flight Surgeon in the Utah Air National Guard. Fluent in Spanish, she enjoys working with Spanish-speaking patients and veterans. In her free time, she loves outdoor activities such as stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, snowboarding, and hiking with her dog, Ahsoka. Dr. Longworth’s happy place is being in nature with her friends and family, whether it’s on a lake, in the mountains, or in her backyard.
Her favorite book is “David and Goliath” by Malcolm Gladwell, and she has a soft spot for Reese’s peanut butter cups.
