Kirstie Jarrett, MD

Dr. Kirstie Jarrett is a general surgeon based at our Layton Antelope Building B location on the second floor. She completed her bachelor’s degree and medical school training at the University of Utah, followed by residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. 

During her training, Dr. Jarrett volunteered at The Sharing Place, a grief support program for children. She initiated a peer mentorship group within her residency program and actively organized resident wellness events. Dr. Jarrett is dedicated to education, regularly engaging with interns and medical students. Her commitment to teaching was recognized with the honor of being voted the best chief educator by medical students last year. 

Dr. Jarrett is known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in team environments. She finds fulfillment in the diversity of general surgery, where she performs a wide range of procedures across different areas of the body, often on the same day. She values the immediate impact surgery can have on improving patients’ lives and enjoys the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population. 

Outside of work, Dr. Jarrett enjoys a variety of hobbies including dancing, exercising, traveling, cooking, and baking. She treasures time spent with her husband and extended family, who mostly reside in Utah. Her leisure activities also include reading her favorite book, “Greenlights” by Matthew McConaughey, watching the movie “Stepbrothers,” and listening to music of all genres. 

Dr. Jarrett is eager to contribute her expertise and collaborate with colleagues. She looks forward to working with you all.
