Aspyn Taylor, CSW

Aspyn Taylor, CSW is a provider in our Behavioral Health department on the Eating Disorder team at East Layton. She attended Weber State University for an Associate’s Degree in Health Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies. For graduate school, Aspyn attended the University of West Florida: for a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. She is located at our East Layton clinic in the basement.

Aspyn started working with the Eating Disorder Clinic in January 2022. She is passionate about working with individuals struggling with anxiety, eating disorders, and body image concerns. 

She told us that being able to establish meaningful relationships and creating a place where clients feel safe to share anything they need to, is how she helps create a positive and constructive environment. One of her favorite quotes to empower her clients is, “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.” -Brene Brown 

Aspyn utilizes a holistic approach with a focus on attachments and strengths when working with clients. She does not believe there is a “one size fits all” when helping people. She believes that having healthy relationships and a space to explore our experiences promotes healing. Aspyn said, “Each person is the expert in their own life, and I am there to walk alongside them and witness their healing.” She also likes to explore different interventions with clients using talk, music, art, sand tray, movement, and mindfulness.

Aspyn grew up in South Ogden, UT, and enjoys camping, boating, hunting, fishing, reading, puzzles, and hanging out with family. Her happy place is being with her family up at their favorite lake, Flaming Gorge! She and her husband have one son, and he lights up their world. Her favorite books are the Harry Potter and Divergent series. She loves Disney movies and likes listening to country music.
