Calton Law, PA-C

Calton C. Law, PA-C, has joined the orthopedic practice of Dr. Jonathan Donigan, a specialist in hand surgery and disorders of the arm and shoulder. His is located on the first floor of  Layton Parkway.

Calton is involved in all aspects of the practice, including examining and consulting with patients and acting as first assistant during surgeries.

Calton comes to Tanner Clinic with a specialty in orthopedics. He worked for three years in the practice of Dr. Michael Hoffman, an orthopedic surgeon in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Since returning to Utah in September 2013, Calton has been employed using his physician assistant’s skills in the emergency room of Davis Hospital and Medical Center. During the same time, he also worked as a surgical assistant for Davis Orthopedics.

Calton earned his B.S. in physician assistant studies at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a special affiliate of Pennsylvania State University.

As a physician assistant, Calton consults and follows up after surgery with patients and is able to prescribe medication. He works with Dr. Donigan to ensure that patients are seen and receive the information they need in a speedy manner.

Some of the skills Calton brings to Tanner Clinic include performing initial evaluations, hospital rounds, administration of major joint injections, tendon sheath injections, and fracture care. In the operating room, he undertakes such procedures as preparing the patient and surgical area for surgery and, at the conclusion of the procedure, closure of the incisions.

Calton, a native of Fruit Heights, Utah, is married and the father of three young children.
