Chuck Richardson, MD

Charles (Chuck) D. Richardson, MD, joined Tanner Clinic as a family physician in 2017 with a strong desire and commitment to serve his patients with compassion, courtesy, and respect. His practice is located on the main floor of the Layton Antelope Building A east wing.

Practicing family medicine since 2011, Dr. Richardson brings quality experience and optimism to Tanner Clinic and each of his patients.

Dr. Richardson is passionate about his patients’ well-being and is dedicated to ensuring they feel their best at all times. “That’s probably the most rewarding part of family medicine to me is getting to know my patients,” said Dr. Richardson. “I also love all the variety of family medicine.”

Dr. Richardson joined Tanner Clinic’s list of providers after working as a family physician at Intermountain Healthcare. Prior to his time as a family physician, he was a moonlighting physician for two years and began his career as a resident staff physician.

A Utah native, Dr. Richardson completed his family medicine residency at McKay-Dee Hospital after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Medicine with his M.D. He also earned his Bachelor of Science in zoology from Weber State University.

Outside of his career, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. His favorite memories include snorkeling with his children in Hawaii and exploring national historical sites around the East Coast with his wife. Dr. Richardson also served as a volunteer team physician for Weber High School’s football team where he educated and assisted the student athletes – some of whom lived in his neighborhood.

As a family physician at Tanner Clinic, Dr. Richardson educates his patients to know more about themselves and their health. “That’s something that’s key for me, and I think empowering my patients does a lot for them,” said Dr. Richardson.

Dr. Richardson is fluent in Spanish.
