Tricia Ferrin, DO

Tricia Ferrin, DO is a family medicine provider at our Farmington Location. She attended Kansas City University, College of Osteopathic Medicine and currently volunteers as a clinical outreach staff member at the University of Utah and Rocky Vista University Schools of Medicine; in addition, she is a preceptor for Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students and a volunteer Girls Soccer Coach at Layton High. Her professional interests include sports medicine, pediatrics, and women’s health.

She loves Family Medicine because she “gets to treat patients of all ages” and she “loves to take care of families where I get to learn about their struggles and successes; I want to become a part of their family.” Family Medicine, to her, is not just about treatment but also about prevention. “I want to work with my patients to come up with the best treatment plans using recommended guidelines and screening protocols to keep them healthier; many things can be treated without pills if we work together and use resources effectively.”

Tricia grew up in Layton, Utah, and attended Layton High School with her identical twin sister. She feels blessed that she was able to attend college on sports scholarships for Basketball and Soccer, which is why she loves to give back to others. On a day off, you may find her working in the yard, skiing on powder days, playing at the lake, or spending time on her road or mountain bike. If it’s outside, then she is usually in her “happy place”.
