Dr. Poole is board-certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He earned his Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah, his MD at the Medical College of Ohio, completed an Internship at the Medical College of Ohio in General Surgery, completed his Residency in Internal Medicine, at the Medical College of Ohio, did his Fellowship at Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is located in the Bitner building on the second floor and at the South Ogden building on the second floor.
He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the Utah Medical Association. Dr. Poole is also heavily involved in research. He has participated in over 70 research studies and is always striving to learn more and advance medical knowledge.
Dr. Poole is eager to help his patients feel better. He states “I became a gastroenterologist because of the opportunity to help people because of the variety of different challenges that being a gastroenterologist presents. My patients come to me with an assortment of symptoms and conditions that concern them on the deepest emotional levels. Not only do they need medical treatment, they need reassurance and understanding – and I can give them both.” As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Poole is able to treat a variety of health concerns and help his patients find relief.
