Jodi Mansfield, LCMHC is an eating disorder therapist at the Layton Antelope A building, and she sees patients on the 3rd floor of the west wing. Jodi attended Weber State University and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Nutrition. She received her graduate degree from University of Utah Educational Psychology Program with a Mental Health Track. She is in the process of joining the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals.
Jodi is a compassionate, empathetic, kind, hard working, persistent, determined, and a team player. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live a joyful and fulfilling life. Jodi said this about her passion for the field; “unfortunately, sometimes in life we get sidetracked by unhealthy thoughts and behaviors that rob us of our ability to live abundantly. At these places in our lives it is often helpful to have the support of a guide who can help us toward greater self-understanding, compassion, acceptance, and love. I am so grateful for the opportunity to join courageous individuals as they learn to use their amazing self-wisdom, unique perspectives, personalities, and gifts to achieve healthier relationships with food, their bodies, minds, and hearts that will once again allow them to live the full and amazing lives they desire.”
In her free time, Jodi loves being active in the outdoors, especially the mountains. She enjoys running, hiking, biking, surfing, skiing, and swimming. Jodi also likes cooking, trying new recipes, and organizing. However, her favorite thing is hanging out with my family. Jodi grew up in Layton, and she and her husband have three boys together. Together they love mountain biking, boating, surfing, and traveling; especially anywhere that has a beach or mountains. Her happy place is on a sandy beach with the bright, hot sun shining, palm trees swaying, and aqua-blue water teaming with colorful, tropical fish.
Some of her favorite entertainment includes – self-help books, the movie “What Dreams May Come”, and many different kinds of music, but mostly folk pop or anything her son Ollie plays on his guitar. Jodi has some guilty pleasures, including ice cream, popcorn, facials, pedicures, fall mornings, heavy snowfalls, and being in the sun!
