Joshua Told, DO

Joshua Told, DO is an Urgent Care doctor located on the main floor of our Layton Parkway Clinic. He attended Snow College and Utah Valley University for his undergrad, and then attended medical school at Rocky Vista University. Afterwards, Dr. Told did his Family Medicine residency at Monument Health in Rapid City, South Dakota. Dr. Told also served an LDS Mission in Rapid City. 

When Dr. Told first started school, he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. He started out as a firefighter/EMT for Ephraim City while attending Snow College. It was later that he was inspired by his cousin and uncle to pursue a career in medicine. Both his cousin and uncle are family medicine physicians in small towns. It was this interest in acute care medicine, and rural family medicine that has led him to Urgent Care Medicine. 

Dr. Told believes that working hard is what makes him successful in his career. From a young age he learned the importance of hard work and dedication. Dr. Told also actively participate in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, ACOFP. Dr. Told is passionate about medical education and instilling confidence and knowledge into future generations. 

Dr. Told is married with four children, he met his beautiful wife when he was attending Snow College. They have four children all born in different states. His hobbies include snowmobiling, hiking, and going fishing with his family. Dr. Told also loves building Lego sets with his kids. He believes that any place is a happy place when he is with his family, getting to see his kids smile and laugh. It’s not about the place, it’s about the memories they can create.
