Katherine Jenkins is a doctor of nursing practice and board-certified family nurse practitioner working in the Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology department working with Dr. Douglas Jones. She has been a part of Tanner Clinic since 2016 and is passionate about providing care to her patients. She sees patients on the 2nd floor of the Layton Parkway building.
She received her doctorate degree from Weber State University in 2022 and received her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from Brigham Young University in 2014. She completed her undergraduate nursing studies at Weber State University receiving an Associate of Science in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science in 2007. Katherine is a part of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Utah Nurse Practitioners; she has been practicing nursing since 2005.
Katherine has an extensive nursing history and specifically enjoys spending time with patients and providing education regarding their diagnosis and treatment. She believes that helping patients not only understand their diagnoses but empowering them to take part in their medical treatment is key to improving patient health care.
Katherine loves exercising daily, particularly boxing, weight lifting, road biking, and High Fitness. When she has free time, she enjoys reading and interior design but her favorite activity is spending time with her husband and three children.
