McKenzie Kennington, PA-C

McKenzie Kennington, PA-C, works with Dr. Jarin Leavitt in Tanner Clinic’s OB/GYN department. She has a passion for helping women overcome life’s challenges. She said, “Whether it’s a woman’s first exam or they’re having a baby, it’s amazing to be able to help them through the exciting times and the hard times too.” She is located at the Layton Parkway Clinic on the third floor.

Originally from South Ogden, Utah, McKenzie attended Weber State University for her bachelor’s degree, and then Rocky Mountain University in Provo for physician’s assistant school. In between graduating with her bachelor’s and starting PA school, she worked at Tanner Clinic as a laboratory technician.

With her experiences in healthcare, McKenzie gravitated toward OB/GYN work and women’s health. “I’ve always been really interested in women’s health,” she said. “Women go through a lot of really hard things in their life and I love being able to help them through those stages of life.”

Not only is she all about helping women understand how to overcome life’s struggles, but she also finds joy in being able to help anyone in healthcare. “I love being able to have a hands-on part of someone’s life,” she said. “It’s rewarding to have someone come to you with their problem and ask for ideas on how to get better. It’s best to be able to watch people be happy and get to live a normal life again.”

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family.
