Nadya Wayment, MD

Dr. Nadya Wayment comes to Tanner Clinic’s family medicine department with a history of putting the patient first in everything she does. “Patient care is so important,” she said. “When you’re doing the best you can for the patient’s sake and having the organization to support those needs, it’s very rewarding.” She is located at our East Layton clinic on the main floor, east wing.

Originally from Chernivtsy, Ukraine, Dr. Wayment has spent over 15 years in the medical field. Dr. Wayment’s mother was a pediatrician in Ukraine and that example showed her the importance of taking care of people’s health. Whether she was practicing family medicine, working as a medical director, or helping people overcome their struggles, she worked hard to ensure patients were taken care of.

Throughout her medical career, she has always made sure that the top priorities are patient care and preventative practices. “I wish more people knew how much preventative care saves lives,” she said. “It’s very important to take care of yourself for your future. Prevention is the key and it’s all about that knowledge.”

Before joining Tanner Clinic, Dr. Wayment has worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, MountainStar Primary Care, George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans’ Home, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and Cold Creek Behavioral Health.

Outside of work, she and her family enjoy outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, hiking, and boating, as well as ballroom dancing. Catch her on the first season of Come Dance with Me!
