Natalia Hedges, FNP-C is a Family Medicine and Urgent Care provider at our Westside clinic on the main floor. She attended Weber State University for an AS and BS in Nursing, then went to South University for her MSN to become a Nurse Practitioner. She frequently volunteers at marathons and other events in the medical tents. Additionally, Natalia volunteers at her children’s schools in various settings. She also used to volunteer at nursing homes.

Natalia believes that healthcare is not a one-size-fits-all, and every patient is a unique individual who deserves a tailored healthcare plan. She believes people’s values, culture and beliefs play a crucial role in healthcare as well, so it is imperative for a provider to be knowledgeable and accepting of all components of life and adjust healthcare plans to encompass all of these components. Natalia believes in helping people stay healthy as frequently as possible but be readily available for acute illnesses. She is compassionate, communicative, a great listener, accepting, and reliable. She is also bilingual in Spanish.

She said “I hope that when patients choose me for their healthcare, they know I strive to make them feel welcome and accepted to build a trusting provider-patient relationship. I hope to make each encounter personable and meaningful so that you feel comfortable discussing with me all aspects of your health. I feel honored to be able to take care of each, and every individual, and hope that getting to know each patient throughout the life span will increase and promote better health outcomes. I value shared decision-making and want to know what matters most to you when providing care.”

Natalia grew up in Spain but now lives in Hooper with her husband and family. She has three children, two dogs, a cat, and ten chickens. In her free time, she plays volleyball in a women’s league. Natalia enjoys camping and outdoor activities, going out on the wave runners, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loves being involved and present for her kids’ extracurricular activities. Natalia mentioned her favorite franchise is the Transformer movies – but she’s also always up for a good documentary. Her favorite book is “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor Frank, and she enjoys all genres of music, but is more partial to country and hip-hop/R&B. Natalia’s happy place is anywhere with a sunny sandy beach, and her guilty pleasure is pastries.
