Nate McBride, PA-C

Nathan McBride, PA-C is a part of the Utah Digestive Health Team with Dr. Matthew Redd in the Bitner building second floor and at the South Ogden building on the second floor.

Originally from Salt Lake City, McBride attended the University of Utah Medical School and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to the University of Utah Medical School for Physician Assistant school and then completed an internship in Gastroenterology at McKay-Dee Hospital. He has advanced training in Gastroenterology with the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City. In addition to gastroenterology, McBride also specialized in cirrhosis, hepatitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. McBride is also involved in the Advanced Research Institute as a Sub-Investigator.

McBride states that in his experience with healthcare, he has found helping people feel better is the ultimate benefit of what he does. He said, “The most rewarding aspect of being a healthcare provider is seeing patients improve their quality of life.” He became a certified physician assistant because he wanted to make a difference in other’s lives. Being a PA-C, he works closely with doctors and other team members to provide quality healthcare for his patients and he is capable of providing a variety of services. Those services include physical examinations, diagnosis and treatment of illness, ordering and interpretation of laboratory studies, and prescribing medications – providing that to the patient, helps the doctors to concentrate on performing diagnostic and surgical procedures.

Outside of his practice, McBride enjoys going on medical missions all over the world to remote villages and towns to help care for those in desperate need. He is passionate about helping others and providing the best care he can to his patients.
