Jami Oviatt, FNP

Jami Oviatt, MSN, FNP-C is an Internal Medicine specialist at our Layton Antelope Building A on the main floor, east wing. She received her RN from Salt Lake Community College, her BSN from Western Governors University, and her MSN, and FNP from Chamberlain University. She joined Tanner Clinic in 2022 after a career in emergency medicine.  

Jami is a loyal, focused, dedicated, and hardworking healthcare provider. She has spent the majority of her nursing career in the emergency room functioning in many different roles: staff nurse, charge nurse, educator, clinical supervisor, and Emergency Department director have all helped prepare her for the role of nurse practitioner. She wants to help others manage and improve their overall health and wellness through medicine and lifestyle choices that can help to ensure a better quality of life. 

She grew up in Sandy, UT in a large family – the third of eight children. Jami is married and she has four adult children, two of whom are married. She also has one grandson whom she absolutely adores. One of her guilty pleasures is spending time with him and baking! She loves to spend her downtime in the kitchen making cookies for her kids and grandson. 

Jami enjoys many outdoor activities with her family like paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, etc. She also enjoys spending time at the gym and starting the day out there, getting a good workout in. She said it gives her time to get in touch with herself and process the upcoming day. When it comes to entertainment, Jami said she spends a lot of time on audible and loves many genres of music, movies, and books!
