Ryan Stewart, MD, brings his appreciation for healthy activities to his role as a primary care physician at the Syracuse Tanner Clinic. Dr. Stewart runs his practice with the principle, “Exercise really is medicine,” which he expresses to his patients through consultation and personal example.

As a family medicine physician at Tanner Clinic, Dr. Stewart has a strong interest in sports medicine, and caring for exercise-related injuries and conditions. The board-certified physician is skilled in working with patients experiencing joint and muscle injuries, relative energy deficiency syndrome (female athlete triad), and testosterone replacement therapy for those experiencing low T.

Also within his practice, Dr. Stewart consults with athletes and patients with chronic health conditions to create individualized exercise prescriptions. These plans serve as adjunctive treatments for various conditions including diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypertension.

Dr. Stewart currently serves on the Davis County Board of Health. He also serves his community as a volunteer physician at the Davis Volunteer Medical Clinic in Clearfield, Utah.

Furthermore, Dr. Stewart is an adjunct faculty member with Weber State University’s Athletic Training Program, teaching sports medicine students. He’s also served as a medical director for the Ogden Marathon.

Dr. Stewart began his education with a bachelor’s degree from Weber State University. He then received his medical training at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Following the completion of his MD degree, Dr. Stewart fulfilled his family medicine residency at McKay-Dee Hospital, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Stewart lives with his wife and four children in Kaysville. Outside of his practice, he enjoys staying healthy with favorite activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and especially skiing.
