Spencer Cline, DO is a Family Medicine doctor who joined Tanner Clinic in 2021 at our
Farmington clinic. Dr. Cline completed both his medical training and residency in Family Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, and Searcy, Arkansas. He attended Utah State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science with a Minor in Chemistry and Military Science.
He is currently in the Utah Army National Guard and has been serving since he was 17 years old. He enjoys the different experiences the military has given him, including training in the countries of South Korea, The Dominican Republic, and Morocco. He has served in several types of units including Combat Engineers, Quartermasters, and Special Forces Support.
Dr. Cline was raised in both Farmington and Logan. He enjoys serving the community he grew up in. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Des Moines, Iowa Mission. He is married and has three children. Some of Dr. Cline’s interests/hobbies include gardening, playing soccer, racquetball, studying history, and hunting. He also enjoys backpacking in the Uintas and other wilderness areas.
When asked about the work he does, Dr. Cline said “My job as a doctor is to help patients reach the highest level of medical self-care and stewardship of which they are capable.” He strives to properly prioritize things. He aspires to be balanced but is willing to have a more intense focus when the situation calls for it. He respects the time and needs of those working for him.
