Steven C. Meek, MD, is a board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology practicing on the main floor of the Layton Antelope Building B. He specializes in high-risk pregnancies, infertility, and robotic-assisted surgery, a procedure he values because of its role in his other specialty—minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Meek began his education at the University of Utah, earning a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He continued on at the U of U School of Medicine, where he received his M.D.
Dr. Meek completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at William Beaumont Hospital in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Dr. Meek is especially proud of his long-time dedication to Utah Medical Outreach, a non-profit organization that organizes medical missions to remote parts of Guatemala. He founded the group with Dr. Robert Mellor, also a Tanner Clinic physician, and has traveled with every service expedition, which occurs twice a year, for 25 years.
Dr. Meek and his wife live in Farmington, where he raised six children and is now grandfather to an always expanding circle of grandchildren. In addition to his volunteer work, he enjoys biking and skiing—both water and snow—as well as reading and writing.
Dr. Meek is fluent in Spanish.
