Wyatt West, MD

Dr. Wyatt West joined Tanner Clinic as a Family Medicine physician at the Roy location.

West, a Utah native raised in the Mountain Green/Morgan area, completed his bachelor’s degree at Weber State University before going on to earn his MD at University of Utah.

“I was actually in medical school at U of U with Dr. Critt Aardema and we graduated from the same class,” he says, proving what a small world we live in as both doctors now practice side-by-side in Roy.

He completed his Family Medicine residency in Utah at McKay-Dee Hospital where he emphasized in sports medicine, and ran workshops in CME conferences for sports medicine. Since then, sports medicine continues to be a principle emphasis for Dr. West’s practice, as well as an interest in weight loss medicine. Dr West has started Mountain Valley Weight Loss at Tanner Clinic to help his patients lead healthier lives.

Before joining Tanner Clinic, Dr. West practiced in Morgan for three years, and was the only practicing physician in the county.

Wyatt and his wife have three children. “Our family loves to spend time in Southern Utah hiking, and biking.” He also enjoys trail running, and has run a number of marathons as well.

What Patients Say About Dr. West

“He was very understanding and took his time. I hate the doctor’s and he made it an enjoyable experience.” – McKenzie Mayfield, Google, October 2017

“We met Dr. West in June of 2016. My husband was having many health issues. Dr. West didn’t ask what he could do, but rather let’s work on this and make it better. In the last year, most of his health issues have been made so much better because of the great help of Dr. West. He has a great patience and kindness.” – Jackie Mecham, Google, September 2017

“I had the opportunity to meet Dr. West his first day transferring to the clinic, and he was wonderful! Even went as far as to pull up the anatomy of both the ear and nose to explain how a nasal spray he was prescribing would help with my ear ache, I would definitely recommend him and will return to him for future visits.” – Kylie, Google, January 2017
