Brian Wigington, CMHC is a therapist who brings a thoughtful, empathetic approach to his work with clients. With a passion for helping others feel seen, heard, and supported, Brian specializes in creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals can grow into the best version of themselves. Brian sees patients at the Westside Clinic (basement level) for Health Psychology.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Utah State University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. Known for his active listening, cultural competency, and adaptability, Brian is deeply committed to lifelong learning and building meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Originally from Providence, Utah, Brian enjoys birdwatching and nature walks year-round. He enjoys games and storytelling; spending his free time building LEGO sets, especially birds and Lord of the Rings themes. He also enjoys relaxing with family and having friends over for movie or game nights.

Brian believes that healing happens when people feel connected and understood, and he’s honored to support clients on their mental health journey. He has provided therapy services for adolescents and adults (ages 13 and up) and specialize in helping individuals navigate a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and health-related challenges. His clinical approach is integrative, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support meaningful, lasting change.

Brian is trained to offer therapy to a variety of individuals with chronic illnesses and chronic pain, in addition to depression, anxiety, ADHD, trichotillomania (obsessive hair pulling) and excoriation disorder (skin picking), adjustment disorders, anger management issues.  He also has a special interest in working with patients  experiencing insomnia and helping them improve sleep quality and overall functioning through structured based interventions.
