Bryan Ellertson, MD

Bryan Ellertson, MD is one of our Pediatric providers at our East Layton clinic on the main floor, east wing. Dr. Ellertson joins an expanding pediatrics staff at the Layton location and looks forward to providing excellent health care to Davis County residents.

You might be surprised where you see Dr. Ellertson outside of Tanner Clinic. When he’s not in the office, you may see him on the stage performing Handel’s Messiah or perhaps laying down a trombone solo. Dr. Ellertson, who majored in Italian and Music at BYU, still finds time to sing and occasionally pick up his trombone.

“I don’t do it much,” he said. “My wife has the real talent in the family.”

A native of Provo via Pittsburgh, Dr. Ellertson completed his MD at Ohio State University and his residency at Riley Children’s Hospital at Indiana University in Indianapolis. He came to Tanner Clinic after two years at Utah Valley Pediatrics in Saratoga Springs, where he covered two Level II specialty NICU units.

Dr. Ellertson is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. He has a special interest in patients with ADHD and autism spectrum disorders and other mental health issues.

“I feel like that’s a segment of the population that’s underserved,” he said.

He met his wife performing in an opera at BYU. The couple live in South Weber and have five children.

Dr. Ellertson is fluent in Italian.
