Kyley J Cox, MD, MPH is a Pediatrician at our Layton Antelope Buildin A clinic. She attended the University of Utah for a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Education; she also attended graduate school for a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on epidemiology and biostatistics. Dr. Cox then spent time researching the effects of the environment on the health of couples trying to have children and air quality, among other things. She then returned to the University of Utah for medical school and completed a residency at Primary Children’s/University of Utah. She said, “The outstanding medical and pediatric education was too good to pass up and I couldn’t get away!” She is board-certified in pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Cox is thoughtful and thorough, attentive to details, and enjoys a partnership with families and patients to achieve the best outcome possible. She believes she has the opportunity as a pediatrician to help shape a child’s life for the better by working with them and their families. She loves getting to know her patients and seeing them when they are well or sick; watching them grow and succeed, and being there when things get tough.

She provides care on the whole spectrum of pediatrics including common illnesses like asthma, eczema, rashes, ear infections, etc. Her special interests include adolescent and women’s health including IUD/Nexplanon placement, eating disorders, medically complex children, breastfeeding and lactation, and LGBTQ+ health.

She grew up in Star Valley, Wyoming. Kyley’s family includes her daughter, blue heeler Molly, and her two cats, Tyke and Tupac. Her happy place is up in the mountains reading a book or beside a lake fishing with her daughter. Her interests back up her happy place as she loves taking her daughter hiking, fishing, and just generally spending time outside. She said when they are stuck indoors, you can find them playing board games and drawing. Dr. Cox’s hobbies include gardening, knitting, and baking. She said people have called her an “old soul” because of them, but she doesn’t mind! When it comes to entertainment, Kyley enjoys reading fiction and historical fiction. Books are one of her favorite ways to relax and unwind in a gripping new world or story.
