JD Frazier, FNP-BC, is a board certified nurse practitioner at the Layton Tanner Clinic. His practice is located on the second floor of the Layton Antelope Building A west wing.
Born in Enid, Oklahoma, he grew up in a military family, an experience that taught him to adapt and thrive in various environments. His academic pursuits led him to Weber State University and the University of South Alabama, where he acquired a solid foundation in his field. He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Adaptability has been crucial in his career, enabling him to effectively navigate various challenges. His innate curiosity keeps him engaged in lifelong learning and abreast of advancements in medical knowledge and techniques. A team player, he understands the value of collaboration in healthcare. His ability to thrive under pressure has proven invaluable in numerous critical situations.
Outside of his professional life, he is an avid enthusiast of physical activities and nature. Engaging in CrossFit, mountain biking, and hiking not only keeps him physically fit but also provides mental respite. A lifelong learner, he seizes every opportunity to expand his knowledge. Travel is another of his passions, offering him a window into diverse cultures and experiences.
At the heart of his life is his family. His wife, Kristina, and their four children, along with their two dogs, Fynn and Sherman, are his greatest support and joy.
His happy place is in the comfort of his home or the tranquility of the mountains, especially when accompanied by his wife. A self-professed coffee snob, his guilty pleasure is a cup of Café Ibis, particularly the horchata flavor. This simple indulgence is one of his favorite daily joys.
