Nathan G. Forbush, MD, is a pediatrician at the Layton Parkway. His practice is located on the first floor of Layton Parkway.

In medical school, Dr. Forbush learned early on that his favorite patients were pint-sized. Now, as a pediatrician with the Layton Tanner Clinic, he is still surprised daily by children’s candidness and ability to rebound from illness.

Dr. Forbush joined Tanner Clinic in 2006, following medical training that took him cross-country. A native of Farmington, Utah, Dr. Forbush earned his B.S. in zoology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He received his M.D. at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Mexico, the fifth oldest medical school in North America.

Dr. Forbush completed his residency with the Creighton-Nebraska University Joint Pediatric Residency Program, where he was a resident physician at Omaha Children’s Hospital, Nebraska Medical Center, and Creighton University Medical Center, all in Omaha, Nebraska.

He also undertook additional training at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.

The board-certified pediatrician remains active in research, particularly with Tanner Clinic’s clinical research department.

He has often used his expertise in Spanish as a translator, and he enjoys seeing his Spanish-speaking patients.

Dr. Forbush is fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Forbush is married with five children. In his off hours with his family, you’ll find him beekeeping, backpacking, playing tennis, or fly fishing.
