Brittney Olsen, LCMHC, RPT is a Mental Health Therapist in our Behavioral Health Department at our Layton Antelope Building A in the basement, west wing, where she focuses mainly on pediatric care. She attended Weber State University for a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Phoenix. She also has a Registered Play Therapist Certification and uses this training to aid her pediatric patients in therapy – and is a member of the Utah chapter of the Association for Play Therapy.
Brittney has always enjoyed working with children; “I truly enjoy getting on the floor and playing with children. To watch their minds work and explore, and to process hurts and emotions is an awe-inspiring experience. I strive to make the therapy process as fun as it can be.” She believes that all children have the ability to heal in their own way, with the right guidance and support. She said integrating the family into the process of healing is essential and that if children are assisted in learning solid skills when they are younger, we are setting them up for success as adults.
She was born in California and raised in Roy, UT. She is married and has three children. Her favorite movies are Ever After and Hocus Pocus. In her free time, Brittney likes to spend time with family and friends, enjoying her Jeep and getting dirty on riding adventures.
