Scott Stevenson, MD

Scott Stevenson, MD, is a board-certified urologist practicing at the Layton Tanner Clinic. His practice is located on the second floor of the Layton Antelope Building A west wing. He is accepting new patients and referrals.

As a urologist at Tanner Clinic, Dr. Stevenson focuses on treating general urologic conditions such as kidney stones, enlarged prostates, and vasectomies, in addition to performing laparoscopic and robotic surgeries to treat prostate and kidney cancers. His practice also emphasizes robotic reconstructive surgery on the prostate, kidney, and bladder.

From a young age, Dr. Stevenson’s fascination with human anatomy and physiology inspired him to become a surgeon. Once in medical school, he decided to pursue a career as a urologist because of its breadth of surgical opportunities.

The Farmington native says the most gratifying aspect of being a urologist is helping his patients feel happier.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the smile and happiness on a patient’s face after we’ve worked together to improve, and often cure, their urological problems,” says Dr. Stevenson. “Urological issues can sometimes seem overwhelming to patients. My goal is to help guide them along the path that will get them feeling better in the best possible way.”

Dr. Stevenson completed his residency in urology and internship in general surgery at the University of Utah. Prior, he graduated with his MD from Columbia University and his bachelor’s degree in business management from Brigham Young University.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Stevenson enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, cooking, and drumming.

Dr. Stevenson is conversant in Korean.
