Gina Carling, BSN, RN, CDE is one of our Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists at our Layton Antelope Building A location, in the east basement. She received her education at Brigham Young University and is a Member of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. Ginia is involved in the community as well and volunteered for five years at Ogden Seagar Memorial Clinic-Homeless Shelter educating the homeless about diabetes.
Gina is a very hard-working diabetes educator. She is a “people person” and uses her friendly and helpful personality to make her patients feel comfortable and confident in their interactions together. She is passionate about diabetes education and helping patients and families understand and better manage their diabetes through gaining personal knowledge.
She grew up in Orem, UT, and is married with five children and five grandchildren! They all live close by, and she enjoys spending as much time as she can with them. Her guilty pleasure is binge-watching a new TV series or playing the same song on repeat all day! Her happy place is curled up in bed watching one of her favorite movies or reading one of her favorite books. Her favorite books are “To Kill a Mockingbird”, and the “Harry Potter” Series and her favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice (any version). In her spare time, you can find Gina enjoying one of her hobbies like gardening, pickleball, walks, hikes, and biking outdoors!
All accepted insurance by the clinic.
